I have done a lot of studying lately about the Book of Mormon and the Bible, and how they support each other. I have learned a lot from my other missionaries which I serve with about this Subject. I have found that There is actually an abundance of evidence that says that they support each other. First and Foremost they Both Teach of Christ (2 Nephi 25:26, Acts 28:31). They Both teach the principles and Doctrines which he established and taught when he was on the earth.
The Bible teach about the Coming forth of the Book of Mormon, in Isaiah, he prophecies about the Book of Mormon (Isaiah 29:11-14) and its coming forth. This Prophecy was fulfilled when Martin Harris told to take some of the characters that were written in the Gold plates, along with the translation of them By Joseph Smith to Charles Anthon, who was known for his translating Knowledge of other languages (Joseph Smith History 63-65). We also see Prophecies of the Bible in The Book of Mormon, for example in 1 Nephi we read about how the Bible would come forth (1 Nephi 13:20-29). In 2 Nephi we also learn of the reasons why God has brought forth more books than one that declare his word, and that Establishes his Gospel (2 Nephi 29:8-11).
I know that the Book of Mormon and the Bible were given to us for our benefit, and so that we can become closer to Christ, and so we can know his plan for us. I know that if we live the teachings which are found in these two Books that we can come closer to Jesus Christ!
